Birth of Samalaju Eco Park (New Township) in SIP

The hard work has finally paid off and members of the Samalaju Team rejoiced when we received the Occupation Permit (OP) from BDA on 11 September 2017. The team has been working hard for years to realize the dream of entire workfolks in Samalaju Industrial Park (SIP) – to have its own township within 10 minutes’ drive away from their workplace.

12Planned and developed with ‘future’ in mind, the Phase 1 is a low-density residential development with 16 blocks of 4-storey walk-up apartment, totalled to 256 units. This gated and guarded development offers two choices with Built-up Area of 877ft² and 906ft² respectively. The selling price starts from an attractive RM259,000 (or RM295/ft²), with Guarantee Lease Back (GLB) @5.5% p.a for 3 years.

3In line with our vision- ‘Building Sustainable & Vibrant Community’, Eco Park uses energy saving LED streetlight lanterns, with a better energy efficiency of 46% shows a more spectacular view at night. Being a greenfield development, Eco Park is surrounded by darkness at night synonyms with quiet and peaceful environment- the right place to be at after a day of hectic and busy work.

4Eco Park welcomed its pioneer batch of tenants from OCI (South Koreans, with high expectation on standard of living and internet connectivity) and Press Metal in 3Q17. Both companies have committed a combined 100 units. Upon completion of the units, the response from the market are now more promising, with more encouraging intended commitment.

5The fully furnished units not just come with complete set of cosy furniture and electrical appliances, but blazing fast High Speed Broadband (HSSB) services provided by our sister company, M/S Sacofa Sdn Bhd. Other mobile telecommunication providers are also progressing to boost their service to serve the local population.

6Moving forward, the completion of 16 units apartment marked the dawn of Eco Park spanning over 2,000 acres of land. With growing workforce population in SIP, we believe that slowly but surely Eco Park will need to expand to address the housing needs and more development will take place in phases, as they say “Rome was not built in one day”.
