Tunku Putra School teachers relish the opportunity to collaborate across subjects and hence the reason for introducing the cross curricular activity Spy Day. The skills and knowledge students develop in the area of Mathematics, Science and History are essential for student success.
This year’s CMS Management Trainee Development Programme (MTDP) received an overwhelming response, with over 400 applicants applying from various the professional and academic backgrounds; all keen to secure a place in the programme.
“GETS is an employability enhancement programme offered by the state government working with partners from the industry,” said our Chief Minister when officiating at the Sarawak Career and Training Fair (SCaT) 2016 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on 8 March 2016.
What seemed like an ordinary Saturday turned out to be more than just “ordinary”. Coupled with Earth Hour 2016 later that evening, CMS organised its fourth CMS Blood Donation Drive.

This time of year, CMS Roads and my dedicated crews are on standby throughout Sarawak; ready to spring into action for any incident affecting State Roads.
On the 19th of February, Kuching and surrounding areas experienced heavy rainfall over a sustained period of time creating the perfect conditions for landslides and embankment failures. The Tapah area was hit particularly hard with over 90 failures between the 19th and 21st of February, as on previous occasions the crews led by Senior Operations Executive, Mr Kelvin Ng and Tapah Operations Executive, Mr Jetphre Ak Empali worked tirelessly to get all roads passable on the same day.
