As I look back and reminisce during my 1-year experience as a Management Trainee, I am overwhelmed – I don’t know where to begin!
And so I started my first run in 2017 with blasts of colours filling the air. Despite it being my fourth participation in this colourful run, it was a first with my mother and sister.
A journey of a million mile begins with a single step and a drop of concrete!
At first, we were thrilled to organise THE PARTY OF THE YEAR!! We were filled with so many ideas but with so little time (and monetary resources… hehe…).
The Samalaju Resort Hotel (SRH), a 4-star hotel which is managed and operated by the Imperial Group, had its soft opening on 20 December 2014. And after close to two years later, it was decided in mid-August 2016 that the SRH would have its grand, official opening on 18th October 2016 after consultation with His Excellency, The Governor of Sarawak’s office.
Pirates on the loose! CMS Teams ‘Raja Bukit’ and ‘Raja Gunung’ together with ‘Tiga Tin’, ‘Small Tree’, ‘Gasak Ajak’, ‘100kg’, ‘150kg’, ‘Happy Hours’ and 20 other teams became cycling pirates for a day hunting for hidden treasures within the city. For most of us, this was our 1st treasure hunt on a bicycle and certainly it would not be our last!
With the success of our very first CMS Tribal Run in 2015, I was even more excited to participate in the 2nd (CMS Tribal Run 2.0). I trained for my run (or short sprints followed by hops, skips and walks) months before last Sunday’s big run.
1 April 2016 marked the day where the 3rd batch of Management Trainee Development Program (MTDP v3.0) trainees started their programme. Being a part of this wonderful and amazing group of individuals, we were all rotated to various departments within the CMS Head Office. At the very start of the programme, I was assigned to my specialised field – Group Finance.
